  • Happy New Year!

We wish all of our customers and friends a very happy and successful new year.

  • Morden Mine Reclamation

From July 19 through 22 we were working on an historic site in south Nanaimo, called the Morden Colliery Provincial Park. On this site are structures dating back over 100 years which were part of the Morden Mine, a vast network of underground tunnels used to extract coal. The history of the site is really intriguing; take a look at the website when you have a chance. http://www.mordenmine.com/

The grounds around the structure had become overgrown, and we were hired to clean them up.

These are the Before and After photos of the site. Cleanup took three days, with the wrangler helping somewhat with hand tools. There are more photos on our Facebook page. iPhone June9 Nanaimo jobs 032July 23 2016 076

  • Esquimalt Earth Days

Well, we just got back from a great visit to Esquimalt, near Victoria, to help the Parks Department celebrate Earth Day by tackling invasive plants. We were on site in Highrock Park, one of the many beautiful parks in the Township, and students from neighbouring schools came and helped pull blackberries, english ivy and some other invasives. One of the days we helped in a fenced area, and the other in a pen where kids were invited to feed some ivy to the goats through the fence. It was so much fun to see the happy faces on the students and also the adults that came to help. Many thanks to Rick and his awesome staff for making us feel welcome! Hope we can return soon.
